Medication Management Screening — used to monitor children who are currently prescribed medication to treat ADHD by a medical professional.
The Medication Management Screening allows parents to see if a child’s medication is having a beneficial impact on the child’s ability to resist impulsive reactions, monitor behavior and stay on-task. The child is evaluated twice, once after having taken medication and once without taking medication. By comparing results on the same tests, parents can better understand how medications influence the child’s performance.
ADHD Screening
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is much more than a problem with attention. In fact, all children with ADHD are able to pay attention during some activities (e.g., video games). ADHD is a problem with resisting distractions in order to achieve future goals. It’s a biologically-based disorder that needs to be addressed with appropriate strategies.
ADHD Screeners:
Basic ADHD Screening — screens for symptoms of ADHD and compares the child to typical children in the areas of impulsivity, self-monitoring, and distractibility.
Consider the Basic ADHD Screening if your child:
Can learn academic concepts but struggles with academic behaviors like completing homework, keeping track of assignments or planning ahead
Has trouble remember and following directions
Seems to react or respond without thinking
Has a poor sense of time
